Thursday the National Basketball Association announced their February Rookies of The Month
Oklahoma City Thunder rook Josh Giddey took home honors for the Western Conference. The former NBL Rookie of the Year had a solid month, putting up 16.3 points, 8.7 rebounds and 7.7. assists during the month. He also recorded three consecutive triple-doubles, and was the youngest to do so in league history, when he performed the deed against the Chicago Bulls (11p, 12 r, 10a), New York Knicks( 28p,11r 12a) and San Antonio Spurs ( 17p 10r,10a). On the season Giddey is averaging 12.5 points , 7.5 rebounds and 6.4 assists.
Scottie Barnes of the Toronto Raptors was named the Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month. The Florida State product put together a goofd month of basketball, for the better-than-expected Toronto Basketball Raptors, averaging 15.2 points and 6.8 rebounds on a very efficient 54% from the floor. Barnes also recorded his season and career high 28 points twice during the month 2/25 against the Hornets and 2/28 against the Nets).
